HARBORSIDE INN, Newport – Your ideal downtown stay

The hotel has a lovely view of the water and a charming atmosphere to watch the harbor activities. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although there was occasional noise from overhead during late afternoon and breakfast setup. The continental breakfast was varied and satisfying.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were clean and nice with great bedding and wonderful pillows, but they did not look nearly as nice as in the photos and were a bit dusty, especially the air conditioner. The service was super friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything needed; however, the dining was just adequate with some grilled meat options. The location was great, right on the water with a harbor view from some rooms and easy walking distance to various activities, though the dining room for breakfast had a cozy water view. The facilities were satisfactory, meeting the basic needs of travelers.

My stay at the hotel was mixed. The location was superb, right off Thames Street, making it easy to explore downtown Newport. The service was top-notch, with the staff being super-friendly and even going out of their way to accommodate my gluten-free needs. However, the noise levels from neighboring rooms were disruptive, and the breakfast choices were a bit limited. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
